From AWS to private cloud: ₹80L to ₹5L a month
A high-traffic consumer platform in India
~94%lower monthly infrastructure cost
₹75Lsaved every month
Sametraffic and features
Context
A consumer platform with steady, high traffic ran everything on AWS. The monthly infrastructure bill had reached about ₹80 lakh, most of it for capacity that was busy around the clock.
Problem
- Cost: public-cloud pricing for always-on workloads.
- Waste: redundant and oversized services nobody had revisited.
- Control: no clear view of what each part of the bill paid for.
Outcome
- ~94% lower cost: from about ₹80L to ₹4–5L a month.
- Same product: traffic and features unchanged for users.
- Owned: the platform runs on infrastructure the company controls.
Solution
We mapped every workload, removed what was redundant, and designed a private cloud with data-centre partners. Services moved in phases, each with a rollback path.
